What is the Tau Phi Delta Foundation?

 

The Brothers of Tau Phi Delta convened a Grand National Convention on April 25, 2009, to approve the articles of incorporation and bylaws of the Tau Phi Delta Foundation.  The Foundation is a Non-Profit Corportation formed under the Non-Profit Corporation Law of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

 

It is organized exclusively for charitable, educational and scientific purposes, including the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.  The Foundation is specifically structured to provide and enhance educational opportunities for active student members and alumni of Tau Phi Delta affiliated with the Tau Phi Delta Grand National Chapter, a section 501(c)(7) organization.

 

The Foundation is managed by a Board of Trustees elected from the fraternal alumni members of Tau Phi Delta. The Trustees work diligently to develop plans for accepting contributions and managing revenues to support the purposes of the Foundation.
